Real Madrid are in an almost perfect moment. They are leaders of the La Liga standings together with Girona, in the Champions League they won all three matches they played (against Union Berlin, Napoli and Sporting Braga) and they are one step away from qualifying to the round of 16. And that's not all, as last weekend they got a key victory against Barcelona, in the first 'Clasico' of the season.

However, not everything went well for them lately. Perhaps the only bad news after the victory in Montjuic was the injury of Ferland Mendy. The left-back had to be replaced at the beginning of the second half due to a physical problem and since then he has not been able to train with his teammates. According to Marca, in Wednesday's training session he was not on the field, but remained in the gym. In the same situation is Dani Ceballos, who has been injured for several weeks.

The good news is that they may be able to recover an important player: Arda Güler. The Turkish midfielder arrived at Real Madrid this summer from Fenerbahce and made a good impression in his first training sessions with the squad. But during the pre-season tour in the United States, he suffered a knee injury and had to undergo surgery.

After a few months of recovery, he was ready to return a few weeks ago and even coach Carlo Ancelotti had publicly announced that he was called up with the squad, but a new injury (in this case muscular) postponed his debut. Now he is finally recovered and will probably be on the bench on Sunday.

They will have a demanding week

Real Madrid will play their next match on Sunday, November 5 against Rayo Vallecano at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. And three days later, again at home, they will face Sporting Braga in the Champions League.
