Paris Saint-Germain intends to enter negotiations with Kylian Mbappé's camp for a possible contract renewal, according to sources consulted by La Liga de los Talentos.
Although PSG and Mbappé announced in May 2022 an extension of his contract until June 2025, reports from L'Équipe later indicated that the renewal was until 2024, with the option to extend it for one more year. So far, neither the club nor the player have commented on the matter.
However, PSG does not want to leave anything to chance, and Loic Tanzi reported that the club is planning to extend their star's contract once again. Furthermore, the Parisian board intends to initiate negotiations with Mbappé's entourage in September, according to the sources consulted by La Liga de los Talentos.
During the 2022/23 season, several reports suggested that the French forward was not satisfied with PSG's signings in the transfer market. Therefore, the club has taken note of this and has already secured the signings of Marco Asensio and Manuel Ugarte, while Victor Osimhen, Marcus Thuram, and Bernardo Silva are on the team's wish list.
PSG aims to ensure Mbappé's continuity while reinforcing the team with quality new signings to maintain their aspirations both domestically and internationally. The negotiations that will take place in September will be crucial in determining the future of the talented French forward.
