The talented young Portuguese player, Joao Neves, has caught the attention of several teams, including Bayern Munich, following his impressive performances at Benfica. Joao Neves' talent and potential have drawn the interest of major European clubs, which is a recognition of his outstanding progress at Benfica.
During the past season, Joao Neves played in 20 official matches for Benfica, marking a promising start for this 18-year-old player. However, there is an even more impressive statistic—despite having limited appearances until mid-April, he started in the last six league matches and barely missed any minutes of play.
The midfielder has made significant strides under the guidance of former Bayer Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt, and his future looks bright in his career. This rapid rise has caught the attention of several European clubs, including Bayern Munich.
According to the newspaper A Bola, Bayern Munich and the Premier League's Wolverhampton Wanderers, known for their strong Portuguese influence in the squad, have set their sights on him. These clubs pose a challenge for Benfica as they have yet to interfere with the multimillion-euro release clause that is common in Portugal.
In light of this situation, Benfica's officials are seeking to change the situation as soon as possible. Although Joao Neves is under contract until 2028, the management is looking for a new renewal to establish a release clause of 60 million EUR, with the aim of protecting the club's interests and ensuring an appropriate value in the event of a future transfer.
