Manchester United and Copenhagen are playing their third match in Champions League Group A 2023/24. Both teams had a bad start in Europe's most important tournament: The Red Devils lost 4-3 against Bayern Munich and 3-2 against Galatasaray and are last in the standings with zero points. One place above them are the Danes, who drew against Galatasaray in Turkey and lost 2-1 against Bayern Munich at home.

This Tuesday at Old Trafford, Erik Ten Hag's team needs to get a victory that will allow them to get closer to the qualification zone for the round of 16. Otherwise, they will have less and less chance of advancing and will have to aim for less ambitious goals, such as finishing third in Group A and qualifying for the UEFA Europa League.

However, the visitors came closest to scoring the opener. Diogo Goncalves was the protagonist of the most dangerous chance of the first half, when he received a pass inside the box and shot with his right foot when goalkeeper André Onana was trying to cover him, but the ball hit the post.

The hosts had a chance too: Marcus Rashford dropped deep almost to the halfway line to receive the ball and when he had it at his feet he provided a beautiful assist to Rasmus Hojlund. The Danish striker controlled the ball with his hips and shot powerfully with his left foot, but was inaccurate.

What happened to him?

Beyond the chances both teams had to score, what caught the attention of the fans in the stadium and those watching the match on TV is the appearance of Kamil Grabara. The Copenhagen goalkeeper is wearing a mask. This is because in July 2022 he suffered a facial fracture in a clash with Aalborg's Mathias Ross.
