Ferran won't be available vs Athletic Bilbao, but it is good news for Barcelona

Therefore, according to Marca newspaper, the coach will not call up Ferrán Torres for this Sunday's match against Athletic Bilbao at the Nuevo San Mames stadium.

The Spanish forward suffered a muscle injury on January 31, during the first minutes of the match against Osasuna. Since then he has not played again, but his recovery is going well and he is almost ready to return. However, the coach does not want to take any risks and that is why he will not even include him on the bench this weekend. Perhaps he will have the opportunity to play some minutes during the next La Liga match, against Mallorca on Friday, March 8, in order to be fit for the match against Napoli in the Champions League.

Injuries have been one of the most serious problems for Barcelona this season. They lost key players such as Frenkie De Jong, Jules Koundé, Raphinha, Joao Felix, Robert Lewandowski, Pedri and Alejandro Balde at different times.
