Cristiano Ronaldo is the biggest star of the Pro League. He arrived there at the beginning of 2023 and forever changed soccer in Saudi Arabia, as he led the way for dozens of top stars to decide to follow him and leave Europe to accept multi-million dollar offers from Saudi clubs.

And on the field he has also made a difference, with Al-Nassr he has 48 goals and 13 assists in 54 games. In addition, he is leading the team in three competitions in which they can be champions this season: the Pro League, where they are second behind Al-Hilal in the stadings; the King Cup, where they have qualified for the semifinals; and the Asian Champions League, in which they qualified for the quarterfinals.

But his excellent performances on the field will not save him from being punished this time. Last weekend CR7 was the protagonist in an unpleasant situation, when Al-Shabab fans booed him and tried to provoke him by chanting "Messi, Messi". The Portuguese striker did not like that and responded with a gesture that many considered obscene, moving his arm at pelvic level after Anderson Talisca's goal that allowed Al-Nassr to win the game.

This caused outrage among fans, the press and Al-Shabab chiefs, who asked the Pro League authorities to launch an investigation into Cristiano's behavior. That is precisely what happened and the consequences could be serious. According to Al-Riyadiya newspaper, the Disciplinary Committee will probably sanction him with a fine and a two-match suspension.

If the rumors about the punishment are confirmed, Cristiano Ronaldo will miss two key matches for Al-Nassr in the Pro League: this Thursday they will face Al-Hazm, while a week later they will play against Al-Raed. He will be available for the Asian Champions League match against Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates on Monday, March 4.
