According to other reports, the parties are still negotiating the economic aspect of the transfer. The player knows that he will earn less money at Real Madrid than at PSG, but he is doing his best to reduce that difference. In France, between salary and bonuses, he earns almost $230 million gross per year, a figure unattainable even for Florentino Perez.

The salary Los Merengues can pay him is similar to that of other stars of the squad, such as Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos and David Alaba, i.e. about $16 million net per season. But to that will be added bonuses for joining as a free agent (more than $100 million spread over the number of years he signs his contract), so the amount will be higher.

And Real Madrid's latest strategy is related to image rights.
