Erling Haaland shone once again in the Euro 2024 qualifying phase, scoring a brace in Norway's 3-1 victory over Cyprus. With these two goals, Haaland becomes the top scorer of the 2022/23 season, reaching a total of 56 goals between his performances for Manchester City and the Norwegian National Team.

The young City star was tied at 54 goals with Kylian Mbappé, but his standout performance against Cyprus allowed him to surpass the PSG and French National Team forward. Haaland achieved this incredible milestone in just 56 matches, matching the number of games it took Mbappé to score his 54 goals.

This season has been truly extraordinary for the former Borussia Dortmund striker. He has won a historic treble, becoming champion of the Champions League, the Premier League, and the FA Cup.

Furthermore, he has become the top scorer in the Premier League, even setting a record, and now he also holds the title of the top scorer of the season across Europe.

Here's how he scored

In the match against Cyprus, Haaland couldn't find the net in the first half, but in the second half, he scored his brace. The Manchester City and Norwegian National Team striker converted his first goal in the 57th minute from a penalty and added another in the 60th minute, showcasing his excellent ability to break free from his opponents and capitalizing on a superb pass from Martin Odegaard.
