The future of Harry Kane with Tottenham Hotspur is uncertain after a disappointing season for the team. The 29-year-old forward, who has been loyal to the club throughout his career, has not yet renewed his contract, which has only one year remaining.
Despite efforts, negotiations for an extension have not made significant progress. This leaves the team with two options, sell him this summer to obtain a substantial sum or utilize his talent until the end, risking losing him for free in the summer of 2024 when he will be in the latter stage of his career at 30 years old.
After Manchester City showed interest in him two years ago, it is now Manchester United who is determined to acquire Kane. The Red Devils have placed the striker at the top of their priority list to bolster their attack, and Old Trafford is the preferred destination for the English goal scorer.
However, Daniel Levy, chairman of Tottenham, refuses to let him go easily and set a price of 200 million EUR a few weeks ago. This figure is excessively high for other interested clubs such as Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, and even Bayern Munich.
At a deadlock, Manchester United seems to have changed its strategy. According to reports from The Sun, the club's management has proposed to Harry Kane and his team to submit a transfer request, known as a "transfer request" in the Premier League, with the aim of forcing his departure. This would put the club in a more favorable position and allow them to make an offer close to 100 million EUR.
